How to take care of Oily Skin in winter

by Akshit Goel 28 Dec 2020 0 Comments

Winter has found its way to every corner of the world and as much as we are thrilled to get closer to the winter holidays and the new year, we are busy adapting our regimen for skincare and skin care products. With this winter episode, we decided to make this experience easier for you to exchange tips and skincare routines made suitable for various skin types. And so, we will begin with oily winter skincare today!

Winter and oily skin go hand in hand! oily skin itself is an issue and if not taken care of, it might cause a lot of problems. You might find your face a little less sweaty, but it still doesn’t stop creating oil. So, here’s some top skincare advice you can follow if you have oily skin.

Exfoliating:

Cleansing is a common step for oily skin types. Because the season has changed, it doesn't mean your skin doesn’t require exfoliation. If you are dealing with oily skin, you would want to avoid any extra layer of unwanted dead skin cells that makes the skin look itchy.  But exfoliating your skin doesn’t have to be rough. You don't want to lose the essential oils that your skin produces when exfoliating. The ordinary cleanser won't work, rather you can use the TNW Oat Cleanser – Polishing Scrub for Face & Body. This is a chemical-free cleanser that will remove all the nasty dirt that sticks to your face.

Toner:

The last thing you want to put on your skin after cleansing your face is a sticky toner. Toning and hydrating your skin is necessary but you don’t have to put a heavy base for that. Choose a liquid-based toner that is light on your skin and keeps your skin hydrated. You can rely on a natural skincare product such as TNW Steam Distilled Pure Rose Water.  The good thing about this toner is, it is free from artificial fragrance and alcohol.

Moisturise:

Like watering your house plants, moisturizing your skin is also important.  Even though you have oily skin, that doesn’t mean you don’t need to moisturize it. If you are not very comfortable with a cream-based moisturizer, you can opt for a liquid base. A BB cream like TNW BB Cream can work miracles on your skin. It is completely paraben-free and is light on your skin.

Sunscreen:

Choosing a sunscreen that doesn’t make you look like a ghost is a tricky job. But the beauty industries are taking up the challenge to make your sunscreen look lighter on your face. For oily skin type, water-based sun defense creams work the best.

So, the next time you step out, make sure to put on some Sun Defense Cream that will not only protect your face from sun damage but will also keep it moisturized and works great even for oily skin.

Drink Water:

Water is the one-stop solution to all your skin related problems. Make it a habit to drink 8-10 glasses of water per day. Water is very important to eliminate the toxins out of your body. You need to gulp water to keep your skin looking young and supple. Water is the most effective treatment for your skin during any season.

So, girls... slap the harsh winter wind with your skincare routine and go out in fitness, because winter may be coming but we are ready!
