Cleanse, Exfoliate, and Moisturize: The 3 step basics of face care

We are living in times of self-care, and skin care falls naturally to it. While there are various products in the market, it also becomes challenging to formulate a routine for yourself. There is a rage in the market about 7-step K beauty and whatnot, Indian beauty is more about reasonable, effective, and minimum steps. However, there are 3 steps that you must follow for healthy skin. The frequency, ingredients, and usage may depend on lifestyle and skin concerns. The three steps are: Cleanse, Exfoliate, and Moisturize.

STEP 1: CLEANSE
The first and most important step is cleansing. It is said that no step in skincare can undo the damage done by improper cleansing. Hence, it is always advised to cleanse gently using a face wash that suits your skin. If you are the one who wears makeup, opt for the double-cleansing method.
For that, you will have to use an oil or an oil-based cleanser first, followed by a water-based cleanser.
We suggest using TNW Cleansing Balm to remove the makeup, followed by TNW Papaya foaming face wash.

STEP2 : EXFOLIATE
Now some people may also call it 'toning'. Exfoliation is a step where you typically 'take off' the dead skin off your skin. You can either opt for physical exfoliation or chemical exfoliation, whichever you enjoy more. In physical exfoliation, you scrub your skin topically, whereas, in chemical exfoliation, you use an exfoliating acid and apply it all over using a cotton ball. TNW recommends Coffee Coconut Scrub for physical exfoliation and TNW Glycolic Acid Toner for chemical exfoliation.
Whichever method you use, start slow and less frequently and develop your skin's tolerance.
If these steps sound too much to you, you can use TNW's Vitamin C Exfoliating Face Wash which does the job of both.

STEP3: MOISTURISE
An essential step that helps you nourish your skin, applying moisturizer is the finishing end of your skincare routine. If you don't apply moisturizer, the cleansing and exfoliating steps will do more harm than good. Hence, you must slather a layer of moisturizer on your face. Don't forget to use sunscreen if you are stepping out in the sun.
TNW suggests using Face Moisturizing Gel Cream for oily skin types, Face Moisturizing Cream for Dry/Sensitive, and combination skin types, for the sunscreen you can use TNW SPF 50 Cream.

Face care is not one size fits all, it takes its sweet time to show results.
